OOP-What? Excuse me! OOParts stands for Out Of Place artifacts.
Wikipedia Free Dictionary says:
Out-of-place artifact (OOPArt) is a term coined by American naturalist and cryptozoologist Ivan T. Sanderson for an object of historical, archaeological, or paleontological interest found in a very unusual or seemingly impossible context that could challenge conventional historical chronology by being "too advanced" for the level of civilization that existed at the time, or showing "human presence" well before humans were supposed to exist.
Note the phrase, "too advanced" for the level of civilization that existed at the time - and also the phrase, showing "human presence" well before humans were supposed to exist.
The definition also uses the term conventional historical chronology. Think back to your high school or college days and reflect on what you were taught in courses about evolution. Teachers and Professors that teach Evolution seem to refer to ancient man as primitive, uneducated and only in recent times, have we advanced technologically. If this hypothetical theory is true, then how do we explain OOParts found in archaeological digs? These were unusual artifacts that were dug up and were previously undisturbed along with the ordinary things we should expect from a lost civilization. These artifacts are dated right along with all the other items discovered.
Dr. Donald Chittick in his book, "Puzzle of Ancient Man" has information concerning OOPArts and also the book "Secrets of the Lost Races" by Rene Noorbergen. "Science, Origins & Ancient Civilizations" by Gerry Burney gives information on artifact discoveries.
